About Eric Johnsen
DSLR Photographer- Eric Leif Johnsen has been a Landscape photographer since 2006...Eric and his wife Holly moved to Greenville Junction in 2016 because they wanted a working retirement and a slower pace. Eric grew up in Appleton Maine and graduated from Camden-Rockport High School in 1988. He wanted to see the world, so he enlisted in the Air Force after college in 1992. He is a graduate of the Air Force Weather School in Biloxi Mississippi. His career lasted for almost 8 years and brought him to Croatia and Bosnia where he earned an Army Achievement Medal. From 2000-2001 Eric attended the University of Montana in Missoula. He moved back to Maine in 2001 where he worked in a variety of outdoor jobs. It wasn't until 2006 that he found his calling as a photographer, when he began contributing pictures to a local newspaper. In 2020 he won a blue ribbon at the Western Mountain Photography Show in Rangeley Maine and again in 2021. Eric won the Reader's Choice Award in Down East Magazine for a black and white image of Mount Kineo. He has been exploring the Moosehead Lake Region with his camera since 2009. As an artist, Eric is focused on continuous improvement and total quality.
